Anna Catherine Kill, M.A.
Anna Catherine is a pre-licensed mental health counselor who was awarded her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology from The University of Tennessee. She has recently moved back from Denver, Colorado to her hometown of Knoxville, where she hopes to nourish the mental health needs of the local community.
Anna Catherine strongly believes in the connection between mental, physical, relational, and spiritual health. She approaches clients with curiosity, celebrates their strengths, and highlights their resiliencies. She creates a safe space for her clients through an empathetic and adaptive therapeutic relationship, meeting clients right where they are in their healing journey and honoring their unique mind, body, and spirit.
Anna Catherine’s clinical experience and personal journey inform her treatment specialties in anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, neuro-developmental disorders, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, family and relational trauma, adolescent issues, identity and parts work, life transitions, spiritual issues, and career counseling. Her approach is rooted in empirically driven theoretical foundations of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. She supports a holistic philosophy of mental health, emphasizing components of mind-body connection, attachment theory, and neuroscience.
Outside of the office, Anna Catherine chases her passions for adventure, music, and the outdoors. She is at her fullest when hiking, running, practicing yoga, playing guitar, attending concerts, snowboarding, camping, traveling, or spending time with friends and family.
Anna Catherine welcomes clients of all social and cultural backgrounds, and it is her ultimate goal to support you in overcoming emotional obstacles, harmful cognitions, and painful experiences.

Young adult individual therapy to address issues such as: anxiety, depression, phase of life transitions, self-esteem, identity, trauma, grief and loss, and more.
Parent /Co-parent training and support.
