Jess Wallace, LPC/MHSP

​​Jess Wallace is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee and a board approved Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Jess is certified in Child-Centered Play Therapy with Neurorelational Emphasis from The Center for Connection Play Strong Institute. Jess received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.


Jess has extensive experience working in the Mental Health field serving children and families in both community and school-based capacities as well as private practice. Jess enjoys working with individuals of all ages and walks of life. She primarily works with children and adolescents, ages 3-15, and parents. Her primary approaches to treatment are Play therapy (for ages 3-15) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). All of her work is client-centered but she pulls techniques and interventions from other therapies such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), parenting support, behavioral modification and trauma-informed practices.


Jess is passionate about serving others and strives to incorporate personal values and beliefs into her work while remaining unbiased and non-judgmental. Jess believes that relationship is key to building connection and establishing a strong therapeutic rapport. She desires to create a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel seen, heard and valued. Jess can provide a faith-based approach and is LGBTQ affirming. She specializes in working with children and adolescents seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, adjustment and behavioral issues, attachment disorders and self-esteem. 


When not in the office, Jess enjoys being active, hiking, running, all things outdoors, reading and spending time with her husband, Tyler, their son, Flynn and the greatest pup that ever was, Hurley.

  • Child and Adolescent Therapy to address adjustment/phase of life struggles, behavioral issues, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and more.

  • Parents/Guardians seeking parenting support in addition to or separate from the child’s individual therapy. *ask for additional details*


Office Hours:

  • Tuesday through Friday primarily 8am-4pm. Contact directly for appointment times.


Fees and Insurance:

  • Self-pay rate $125 per session

  • Insurance accepted: 

    • UHC, UMR, Optum

  • Accepts the following methods of payment:

    • Card, Check, HSA/FSA
