Kate Kemmerer, B.A.-Intern

Kate (she/her) is a practicum student currently pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Originally from Austin, Texas, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Child & Family Studies from the same institution in 2023, where her coursework included in-depth studies in childhood development, family dynamics, and women and gender studies.

Having recently worked as a nanny, her interest in child development and family relationships is evident in her academic pursuits and professional endeavors. Committed to making a positive impact, Kate is organized, curious, and wholeheartedly dedicated to helping others navigate their mental health journey. She looks forward to working with individuals and walking alongside them, providing support and fostering growth.

Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Kate finds joy in exploring new places through travel, reading, and cherishing quality time with friends.

Kate is under the supervision of Courtney A. Brandon, LPC/MHSP, RPT (Tennessee License #3621).
